As I write about a coming transit, it crosses my mind that today we have three planets in discriminating Virgo. She is ruling the sun, moon and Saturn and creating an atmosphere for change in our appearance, our emotions and our rhythms. Once she has us all riled up with those three things, she will come and affect the love we thought we had and our finances. I love Virgo.
Before I go any further with my interpretation of all of this Virgo energy, let me share a little about myself with you. I have a stellium in Virgo. She can be found in my Sun, Ascendant, Venus, and Pluto. I also have a Pisces Moon. For your own fortitude, I offer that bit of information. Now, I proceed with my analyzation of many of the celestial bodies and their potential effects on our personages.
When Venus is in Virgo, she is not exhalted. We astrologers say Venus is in her detriment in Virgo. The energy produced by combining Venus in Virgo is not comfortable and can produce a number of unwanted “side effects.” The combined energy encourages us to be discriminating in relation to our partnerships, and our finances. At the same time it pushes us to go after those things we do find attractive. In our dealings with others in the coming months be mindful that you have the ability to discern just what is wrong with any given situation, person, place or thing. You will have an unexplainable desire to share all of your discernments with others. Most of the time you will hurt other people’s feelings, but really deep in your heart you were simply trying to help. Here are some ways I always seem to get into trouble: trying to drive projects to the best possible outcome, making sure my friends look their absolute best and in reassuring my loved ones that I love them despite __________. Instead of reacting verbally, be proactive and make changes. Be the change.
There are some positives this transit brings. Better than normal results if you follow your intuitions about what needs to be corrected/done, cleaning, organizing, and redecorating are more tolerable than normal and you may experience a boost in your ability to interact with other intelligent beings on an intellectual basis. Also activities that require a great eye for detail (puzzles and non-fiction readings), will be more successful as you will be able to tap into the natural intelligence from the overwhelming abundance of discernment found in Virgo.
Understanding the essence of Virgo is quite a challenge for some, but what is always evident with us is a genuine desire to serve, be better people and a great friends. Good luck in your endeavors as you receive Virgo energies into your self perception, emotions, and your rhythm.

I’ve always had problems trying to interpret Venus in Virgo. I’m fairly new to astrology, so I didn’t really planets and signs detriments or being exalted.
Your description of her sounds interesting – She seems to be a little critical, but well-meaning. I’ve never met anyone with this placement before.
Well now you know, all be it via the internet, one person with Venus in Virgo. We are a special breed and need to be reminded that there is beauty to be found everywhere.
