ACE of CUPS – Thoth Deck

Ace of Cups Thoth Deck

Ace of Cups Thoth Deck

Aces represent the purest form of the energy they embody. The Ace of Cups can be interpreted simply as love. There are some other emotions that come to mind when I contemplate love: Peace, joy, happiness, contentment, compassion, understanding, and truth. The Ace of Cups alludes to all of these emotions coming your way when it appears in a reading.

The typical overflowing cup design is modified in the Thoth deck and instead has a stream of energy shooting through the cup. The energy which flows into the cup creates a web which jumps out, illustrating the connectedness of all life. The perfect synergy between everything is love.

The base of the cup is the lotus flower, which symbolises the head chakra or the Totality of Beingness. The ability to manifest what is needed at any one point in time is traditionally associated to love. All major religions have a “savior” who through love conquers the minds of the public. The Ace of Cups to me embodies the energy that each of these personages used to create believers.

Harnessing this energy is not as hard as we may believe. We simply must emerge separate from our egos and run with love. With love we conquer all and are always triumphant. It take courage and consciousness to love. Be the solution this card whispers. Forsake the ego and go with love.

Peace. Love. Light.
