Tarot Card of the Day – Princess of Wands

by astromama on 21/09/2009

Thoth Deck

Aleister Crowley's Thoth Deck

A fiery red background with visible strokes upward in the paint, the Princess of Wands looks as if it may burn you. The naked Princess is seen flying and carrying a tiger by its tail. Her crown is made of feathers which is reminiscent of Maat who, in ancient Kemet, maintains order, preventing us all from descending to chaos.

The Princess brings with her at the very least seduction, spontaneity, sexual attractiveness, and passion. However, the Princess is not viewed as terribly responsible. She wants to have experiences, but is not aware of the consequences of her actions.
