Adjustment VIII – Thoth Deck
What an imposing vision this Trump card presents. If you look deeper, you will see proportion, harmony, symmetry, order and balance. This Trump yells at the top of its lungs, balance needs to be restored as soon as possible!
Ma’at the Ancient Kemetian goddess/principle of balance, is depicted. The scales are ready to weigh ones heart against her feather. How would your heart fair in such a test? Would it be lighter than a feather or heavier than a rock?
From the Lamed (the whip which maintains peace by enforcing standards in behavioral conformity) inscribed on the lower left hand side, to the association of the sign of Libra, we are reminded that we are connected to everything around us without exception. Adjustment is the card of the greater good. It may not always be absolutely fair to everyone, but it is always the wisest path because the group outweighs the individual.
When Adjustment appears in a spread we have been been give the opportunity to use a different perspective to view our situation. Specifically, we are asked to withdraw from the physical world and delve within to review our intentions in relationship to the results we have produced. How can we adjust our reality, ensuring the best possible outcome for everyone involved? In this question we find peace, love and light. We find God.
