Celestial Changes
The heavens are doing what they do best, change, resulting in lots of opportunities for us to do the same. The Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day both fall on February 14th, which is also the first night of the New Moon in Aquarius. The power in this new moon comes from the Aquarian desire for freedom and their unusual/quirky way of doing things. This year you may celebrate these holidays in a different way than unusual stemming from the Aquarian influence. You may also need or desire to be free of your obligations in love or business, to take care of and indulge yourself. During the new moon, there is no visible moon in the sky and so we perceive the moon as no longer pulling us through the lunar cycle.
The new moon period is a time for us to cleanse and set a new agenda for the coming moon cycle. During the Aquarian New Moon, I encourage you to take advantage of “the quirky inventor/tinkerer who wants to create a better way for the entire Universe” energy and do things differently in our relationships and everyday routines. Reflect on our current positions in our life journeys during this new moon. Use your imagination and intuition to determine what direction you want to take yourself in the near future. Think big, this is the time to revamp our outlook for the future and think HUGE about where we will be. Performing a New Moon Ritual, such as meditating, writing, composing a song, burning a candle to break the energy with previous defeats will allow us to renew our commitment to abundance in all aspects of our lives. A newly empowered plan will certainly propel us to heights we have rarely seen before.
With the new moon in Aquarius bringing new great ideas, Jupiter in Pisces opens doors. Pisces is considered by many to be an uber spiritual and intuitive sign, which when coupled with Jupiter’s optimism, genrosity, joy and abundance, gives us access to manifesting what we think we can only dream. Our luck (Jupiter) comes to us through (Pisces) our intuition, imagination and through selfless acts of kindness. Now is the time to make your thoughts and dreams reality. Although Jupiter is making a relatively quick transit through Pisces, January 17,2010 – June 6, 2010, luck will return to the lady September 8, 2010 until January 22, 2011.
Finally, a word of caution, Mars is retrograde in Leo and can create an intense energy that can express itself forcefully and negatively. So when you are out there turning your dream world into your physical world or vice versa, be kind, understanding and pure in your intentions. There are always checks and balances in the Universe. Retrograde Mars in Leo ,if not kept in check, can create a situation in which you might have to get checked.
